How We Tested It
As a shopping editor, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a jar of The Pink Stuff to try out at home. I have an arsenal of eco-friendly cleaning products that I love, but I’m always looking for new products to test. I used The Pink Stuff to scrub my sink, glass stovetop, and to bring life back to my burned copper pans.
Lots of users apply The Pink Stuff to their stainless steel appliances. I tested a small patch of my parents’ stainless steel stove and decided not to use it. It probably would have been fine, but it’s not my stove to scratch! “The product is mildly abrasive, so you need to keep that in mind and be careful using it on soft plastic surfaces or anything with a high shine like a stone countertop, as it will scratch these surfaces,” notes Christian.
On the first use, I was impressed with the thick consistency of The Pink Stuff, which made it easy to apply. Rinsing it off the flat stove surface was kind of annoying, but the results were obvious. Grease and dust from the stove knobs instantly lifted and I was left with a visibly shiny surface.
